Prof. Dr. AKM Akhtaruzzaman

Professor AKM Akhtaruzzaman is a Pain Medicine Specialist. He achieved his MD from wellknown IPGMR currently Bangladesh Medical University under University of Dhaka. Besides his training and experience of working in Bangladesh, he has worked with some of the premium medical facilities in India, Japan as a Pain Specialist. He is a Fellow in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, Japan. He was the Founder Secretary General and presently President Elect of South Asian Regional Pain Society (SARPS) and currently being the Secretary General of Bangladesh Society of Study of Pain (BSSP). Prof AKM Akhtaruzzaman is the Co-ordinator of Essential Pain management (EPM) Course, jointly organized by Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetist (ANZCA) and Bangladesh Society for Study of Pain (BSSP) and also LearnPain, a two weeks long Certificate Course on Pain Medicine (CCPM). He has extensive experience with all Interventional Pain Management techniques and is well-trained in diagnostic and therapeutic selective nerve root and facet joints injections, Epidural injections, intradiscal procedures- Ozone therapy, Intra articular injections- PRP therapy.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kamal

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kamal serves as the Chairman of the Anaesthesia, Analgesia and Intensive Care Medicine Department at Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kamal is involved in academic research and has authored and co-authored multiple scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals related to anesthetic management, airway techniques, and safe practices in image-guided procedures. His research interests include perioperative physiology and anesthesia techniques that enhance patient safety during surgical and minimally invasive procedures. Professor Dr. Afzalunnesa is a retired Professor of Anaesthesiology and one of the pioneers of modern anaesthesia in Bangladesh, with a long academic association with Bangladesh Medical University (formerly BSMMU). Prof. Dr. ATM. Khalilur Rahman passed MBBS from Dhaka University in 1980. In 1983 he obtained his Diploma Anesthesiology (DA) from then IPGMR under Dhaka University. He is the President of Bangladesh Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anesthesiologists (BACTA).
